Nature Walk at Mary Immaculate Center

August 8, 2012
Watershed Association sponsors Nature Walk at Mary Immaculate Center as part of "Know Your Watershed Day" on September 15 The Bertsch-Hokendauqua-Catasauqua Watershed Association will sponsor a free educational nature walk on the grounds of the Mary Immaculate Center in Lehigh Township, Northampton County on Saturday, September 15. Program participants will meet at 9:45am in the parking lot at Indian Trail Park, which is located at the intersection of Route 248 and Indian Trail Road in Lehigh Township. Participants will leave the parking lot at 10:00am for a modest walk at a comfortable pace.
Volunteer naturalists will lead participants through the forests and fields of the Mary Immaculate Center in search of fall wildflowers and migrating birds and butterflies. Come learn about the nature of this beautiful reach of the Indian Creek Watershed. While the program is free, registration is required. To register, call Bud Cole at 610/767-4042 or send email to bbbcole@enter.net.
This program is part of "Know Your Watershed Days," a weekend of watershed awareness and education being celebrated throughout the Lehigh Valley Friday, September 14 through Sunday, September 16. "Know Your Watershed Day" is being coordinated by the Watershed Coalition of the Lehigh Valley, in partnership with its community watershed organization members all across the Lehigh Valley.
